Our Centre of Excellence in iOS Development serves as a dedicated hub for learning, innovation, and applied research within Apple’s technology ecosystem. The Centre provides students and faculty with hands-on training in Swift programming, iOS application design, UI/UX development, security frameworks, and deployment practices using Mac systems and Apple testing devices.

Through industry-aligned projects, certification pathways, workshops, and collaborations with Apple-recognised partners, we enable learners to build real-world iOS applications while strengthening their technical proficiency and employability in the global digital economy.

30 M3 Mac Systems High-performance machines capable of running Xcode, simulators, and design environments simultaneously, enabling seamless development, simulation, and testing workflows for advanced iOS applications.

3iPhone 16 (128 GB) Testing Device Supports real-world evaluation of application performance, security, and user experience using the latest iOS features.

Within this dedicated environment, our students and faculty can undertake Mac-based development, app prototyping, and applied research projects, fostering hands-on learning and innovation across the Apple ecosystem.

Collaborating with Industry and Government Leaders

We are in the process of establishing an e-contract with AATCe (Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education) to strengthen our industry collaboration. As an Apple-recognised training centre, AATCe delivers official training on Apple technologies using Apple-designed curriculum and tools.

Through this partnership, we enable our students and faculty to gain hands-on, industry-relevant skills in iOS, macOS, and application development. The certification pathways enhance employability while aligning our academic ecosystem with Apple’s global standards and professional practices.

Through specialised courses and globally recognised certifications, we equip students with the technical expertise and practical exposure required to build, deploy, and manage applications within the Apple ecosystem.

Our curriculum is designed to build progressive competency in iOS development, from foundational programming to advanced application design and security.

iOS – Foundations of Swift Programming

Introduces variables, control flow, functions, and data structures to establish a strong foundation in iOS application development.

Focuses on user interface creation using Storyboards, navigation controllers, segues, and integration with Swift through IBOutlets and IBActions.

Covers arrays, dictionaries, structs, and classes, along with basic data persistence techniques for building data-driven applications.

Explores Core Data, file handling, JSON parsing, API integration, and performance optimisation for scalable applications.

Emphasises Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, accessibility standards, responsive layouts, and usability principles.

Addresses secure storage, authentication mechanisms, encryption practices, permissions, and privacy compliance.

Students who complete the prescribed training and project work become eligible for globally recognised certifications that validate technical proficiency and strengthen their readiness for professional roles in mobile application development.
