The Science Powering Next-Gen Materials

Our Centre of Excellence in Advanced Materials Synthesis (CoE-AMS) focuses on the development of novel materials, including 2D materials, metal–organic frameworks, high-entropy alloys, functional polymers, and surface-engineered cutting tools. for emerging applications across energy, electronics, catalysis, manufacturing, and sustainability.

We undertake cutting-edge research in scalable and green synthesis methods, supported by in situ characterisation and state-of-the-art facilities that enable precision-driven material design. The Centre extends its expertise through industry consultancy in material development, testing, and process optimisation, while fostering internships and training programmes to build future-ready researchers.

By aligning research priorities with national missions and industry needs, we actively pursue collaborative and competitive funding from apex bodies, ensuring translational outcomes that deliver measurable industrial and societal impact.

The Centre houses specialised infrastructure for polymer and metal matrix composite processing, advanced synthesis, and comprehensive material characterisation.
