The process begins with orientation, team formation, and idea generation. In Phase I (Capstone Project I), students conduct literature reviews, define problem statements, assess feasibility, and prepare detailed project proposals. This ensures clarity of objectives and readiness for execution.
In Phase II (Capstone Project II), students implement their design or research model, perform systematic testing, validate performance, and refine solutions through iterative reviews. The project concludes with a final demonstration and viva voce evaluated by academic and external experts.

The Capstone framework integrates Program Outcomes (POs) and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), fostering engineering design skills, problem-solving, research aptitude, teamwork, ethical awareness, and societal impact. Students regularly publish their work in reputed international conferences (IEEE, Springer, Elsevier) and Scopus-indexed journals; several teams have also filed patents.

The Course of Independent Study (CIS) is a distinctive 3-credit academic pathway that offers students a valuable opportunity to engage in research-oriented learning through a faculty-mentored project in place of one course within their curriculum. Designed to nurture intellectual curiosity, innovation, and critical thinking, the course enables students to immerse themselves in hands-on research through laboratories, field-based work, or Centres of Excellence. Under close faculty guidance, students identify research problems, pursue structured inquiry, and develop meaningful academic outcomes. Credits are earned through consistent progress, active participation in review milestones, successful completion of the project, and the preparation and submission of a research paper to a Scopus-indexed journal, conference, or other approved scholarly platform—positioning students for early exposure to high-quality research and scholarly contribution.

During the internship, students engage in live business projects, data-driven problem solving, process analysis, digital transformation initiatives, financial modelling, customer analytics, compliance frameworks, and fintech product applications under industry mentorship. The internship enables students to apply concepts learned in finance, analytics, AI, cybersecurity, blockchain, digital payments, and business strategy to practical organizational challenges.
